So nice to be back at it. Finding the wasn’t hard. But, getting them to bite and then trying to land them??? Different story all together, many casualties throughout the day, but we did manage half a dozen up to 165 pounds and a few yellowtail to go with them.

We have been givin the green light! Tonight’s trip was canceled due to weather, but Tuesday nights trip is a go right now with only 3 passengers. Bring a blanket and a pillowcase, the bunks including pillows will be sanitized by a commercial-grade electrostatic fogger in between trips as well as the galley. Bring a mask and stay clean with our added hand sanitizing stations.

“One more time”! So, we wanted to do our second (and final) coat of deck paint after all the dirty stuff was done and we are getting ready to fish. Well, we think it’s soon coming, with everything in So Cal speeding up and getting back to normal, we feel we are close. Expect to have your temperature taken and have a mask (yes, some of you claim you can’t wear a mask due to health issues, but you will need to have one to board). We still have a few things to get dialed in as far as passenger loads and bedding, but we are excited. 😎

Sanded the rails on the upper deck and then threw several coats of oil on them. Also had to cut a 2 1/2” hole in the stern of the boat just above the water line. For one, that’s a thick plank for being in the stern. And 2, look how great that mahogany looks, not bad for 54 year old wood 😍

Say what????? Limits of Yellowfin (20-45 pounds) the last day of November and after our last storm. Yup 😎 Great sign of 100-200 pound plus Bluefin too, but the couple bites we had got away quickly. We have a few more trips this week before we go to the boat yard.
