Mike checked in with the boat, so far they are up to 14 bluefin to 50 pounds and 42 Yellowtail so far. Great sign of bluefin and they are running on a school right now. Lots of losses.

20 bluefin and 39 yellowtail for the weekend 1.5 day trip. Most good biting schools have been found in the dark so make sure you guys bring your jigging setups! We are out again tonight with a light load, book now @seaforthlanding or on our website. Reports of 80- 100lbers have been called in from last night, so make sure you guys bring some heavy gear as well as your lighter flyline and mid range sinker rig setups (40-60)

Tribute Late Wrap-up Report

Sorry for the late update from last weekends trip. We ended up with one bluefin and sixteen yellowtail. Slow on the bluefin front for us, we struggled with getting the proper gear in the water at the most opportune times. Please make sure you guys are brining your heavy gear on these next few trips. The majority of what we saw out there was 60-80 lbers and 100-150 lbers. Most of the action was in the dark and late afternoon. We saw some very nice schools that stuck around but dumped a few too many on the lighter tackle. We are recommending that you bring at least one 60 lb sinker rig setup as well as an 80+ rig for fishing heavy flatfalls and knife jigs in the dark, and when the captain says "fish the heavy gear only" don't put the 30 and 40 lb sinker rigs in the water!

A quick overnight charter to SCI after a great Colonet 1 1/2 trip for regular Scott Ducheme and family ended up with his daughter knocking out a trophy Halibut and is now hooked 4 Ever.

The Tribute returned from their 1.5 Day Baja Coast trip from Punta Colonet with 45 Lingcod, 141 Vermillon rockfish, 30 assorted rockfish, and 94 Whitefish for their 31 anglers. This Friday will be their last trip to Colonet before they return to fishing offshore.
Their next available trip is in March, sold out till then.

Returned yesterday morning with with 133 reds, 20 lings, 86 whitefish, and 71 mixed bottom grabbers to finish out our Mexican limits for our 1.5 seeker sponsored baja coastal trip! Yellowtail still in hiding but we got on some very quality reds and lings! Largest red about 11 lbs and Ling about 14 lbs!
